Ultrasonic Inspection
Ultrasonic Inspection (UT Straight Beam or UT-S Shear Wave): Ultrasonics is used in a wide variety of applications for its ability to pass wave energy through a test part surface. Reflections from the waves created are displayed on the equipment and interpreted by technicians to provide data ranging from condition assessment to material thickness.
Ultrasonic Linear Phased Array Inspection
Ultrasonic Linear Phased Array Inspection (UT-LPA): Linear phased array uses the same principles of ultrasonics as conventional UT, however LPA incorporates the use of multiple transducer elements. This technology provides wider imagery and greater flexibility of ultrasonic waves, which increases the inspection capability within a test part.
